One whole year on Bookstagram is a dream come true! I never stick with something for too long without getting bored or starting a new project but I can officially say I’ve done it! I heard somewhere that if you do something for a whole year you know that you will stick with it from here on out! What an accomplishment! I want to share some of my favoroite moments from this past year with you all. Also don’t forget to join in on my Giveaway before it is too late!
Hello, My name is Bailie and I am a bookstagrammer and book blogger! A year ago from today I picked up my first book in years and actually fell in love with something I thought was pointless while growing up. I went from reading one book once in a blue moon to finishing 3-5 books a month!
Starting my bookstagram and now my blog have been my greatest accomplishments for awhile and I am so excited I am able to share my passion with others and be able to make connections with other bookish people. Thank you so much for all the amazing support over this past year!
Book of the Month Club is what actually got me into reading! I give them all the credit! I saw the box one day and just decided to give it a try and all of a sudden I was hooked! They offer so many different genres for you to pick from and all of them are great choices! Here I am with all my BOTM picks and my top six reads from this past year! And no I haven’t read all of these yet.
If you are interested in giving BOTM a chance hit the link below and get your first box for a really good price!
I have made quite a few goals for myself when I started this journey and I am so happy to say that I have surpassed my own expectations and it is all because of my friends, family and followers! I am so thankful for all of the support I have received over this past year.
One of my main goals recently was to reach 2,000 followers on my Instagram by my bookstaversary and I did it! I even got it done a month early back in September! I don’t really worry too much about the followers but more so about making friends with the people I share my content with. I want to thank all of the wonderful people I have met through bookstagram and all the friendships I have made. To Court, Lily, Cam, Belinda and Ivy, you all have been my number one booksta supporters and I wouldn’t be where I am without you all.
Starting this blog was a random idea that turned into a burning passion and I personally think it has been one of the best things to happen to me. I have been able to keep myself ,motivated to actually find a passion in life and work on it to turn it into a main part of my life. One day I hope to be able to make it my full time job. I have plans to start a YouTube series and a podcast and hopefully start getting a merch line going as well, but that is all a ways down in the future so stay tuned!
Last Shout Out (I Think)
This goes out to my number one supporter, Hype man, and love of my life Noah. You have no idea how many times I pull him away from what he is doing to take pictures for me or even just to make dinner because I need to get a blog posted. However, he never complains, I think he is more excited about my blog than I am!
Without his support I don’t think I would have made it this far along in this journey. So thank you so much for all you do for me. I love you!
Top Five Reads
This year has been a rollercoaster for sure but one thing that has always been here is my books! Books are such a beautiful thing because they all offer different worlds to travel too. I have no clue how I lived my life without reading until recently, my life has changed so much since I picked up my first book! I never thought in a million years I would be where I am today, writing a blog (that people actually read) and making friends who actually have the same hobbies as me.
Thank you once again for your growing support and I can not wait to see what next year holds! Don’t forget to enter my giveaway I am hosting through Instagram!

Must be following me on Instagram and please stick around.
This month I have been in such a big reading slump! I feel as if I go through slumps every other month and I am starting to get really annoyed with it. I find that I am constantly comparing how much I read to everyone else in the booksih community and honestly that isn’t very healthy. I do feel that with my new job my reading has definitely suffered as I work a lot more hours than I previously have and also I am super stressed trying to find my new groove of things. I am hoping this next month will play out a little better.
“Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” By J.K. Rowling
I am doing a mini review because I feel everyone who wants to read this book have already read it so I don’t feel the need to recap the book.
Rating: 3 out of 5.
I honestly didn’t love this book. I felt as if it was very slow and I just could not get into it no matter how hard I tried! I did like that there were so many more scenes in the book that they didn’t add into the movie, so I did have fun reading some of those scenes. Mostly I was bored and I felt the need to skip some f the dialogue. Yikes!
I am ready to make a big announcement!
My bookstaversary is coming up on October 8th and I have some pretty cool things going up for my giveaway!
I have three authors who are signing a copy of their book to give out to the winner(s), That’s right, I haven’t yet decided if we are going to have one grand prize winner who gets all the books or if we will have separate winners. I am leaning towards separate winners so everyone who enters has a better chance of winning something. What do you think I should do?
Also I have interviewed each of these three authors and I am currently working on releasing these interviews on my blog and Instagram! I am so excited to share these interviews and I hope you all will tune in this weekend to learn more about these three amazing people! Also Please go ahead and start following these beautiful ladies because that will be a requirement to join the giveaway!
