“Theif Of Magic”
Sneak Peak
Release date: November 30th, 2021

“No one would notice when Lee slipped out of this world. She curled her fingers and took a breath of cool night air, the smell of rain on asphalt filling her senses. Pedestrians dodged around the edges of the bus stop shelter she stood beneath, walking with umbrellas held upright and hunched shoulders to guard against the drizzle.
10:46 p.m.
Lee tucked the phone into her pocket and hummed softly to calm herself. Tonight had to go off without a hitch. She didn’t have any reason to believe it would go wrong, except for the anxiety building in her chest.
A bus hissed to a stop on the glistening street, and the people who had been waiting under the bus shelter nearby filed up the steps. Lee stayed behind, and the driver stared at her. She waved him on.
As the bus pulled away, tingling started in Lee’s fingers and toes. The Liminal Realm had closed in on the now-quiet bus stop, calling her to step through the curtain of space and time and transport herself somewhere else, anywhere else.”
Interview Questions
Q: Please introduce yourself and your books.
A: Hi! I’m Bree Moore. I live in Utah with my husband, 6 kids, and 2 cats. When I’m not homeschooling or folding laundry, I sneak off to write more Urban Fantasy. I like shopping for groceries like some women like shopping for shoes, and I like both my chocolate and my novels dark.
Thoughts: You definitely have your hands full! I couldn’t even imagine how you find time to sit down and read, Let alone any quiet time!
Q: How do you manage running a household of 6 kids while still writing and publishing so many books?
A: Honestly, it’s such a balancing act! I have ADHD, which both helps and hinders. My superpower is doing a bunch of things at once, but I also forget things and drop balls. A famous author once said that as a mother and an author you have to juggle a bunch of balls, the trick is knowing which are plastic and which are glass. You can drop plastic ones and pick them up again later, but you have to guard the glass ones. I can’t juggle everything all the time, but I can keep the glass ones up!
Thoughts: That is a really great way to think about things! I am going to have to remember that from here on out.

Q: What is your favorite book that you have written?
A: Full length book? It’s Woven. But that one is undergoing revision before a relaunch, so it’s actually unpublished right now, but it’ll be back soon!
Q: Who is your favorite character that you have written so far and why?
A: I think it’s Gereck in my book Woven. He’s a grown man who has always wanted to be a knight. He finally gets his wish right before a war threatens Camelot. He has a wife and two kids and he’s trying to figure out how to balance his family and his dreams and I really relate to that.
Q: What is your writing process like? How do you get in the zone?
A: My process is very “eclectic”, lol. With a bunch of kids I pretty much have to be ready to write at the drop of a hat. I do like music, whatever matches the mood of my writing or the mood I’m in. Otherwise, I don’t have much of a process! Just butt in chair, words on page.
Thoughts: Music really helps me get in the zone when I am writing my blog or sometimes even just reading. Music is just a very universal tool.
Q: Do you read book reviews? How do you handle the bad vs good reviews?
A: I’m not obsessive, but I glance through once in a while. Bad reviews range from being ridiculous to teaching me something. It’s always hard to see a low review, but I’m getting faster at getting over it!
Thoughts: I am glad that it is getting easier for you but I also wish you didn’t have to worry about bad reviews at all. However, You are right they can definitely teach you something!
Q: Do you believe in writer’s block? If so, how do you overcome it?
A: I believe writer’s block exists to tell writers they need a break, either to fill their creative well or to take care of life stuff. You can’t force it too hard. Sometimes pushing through sparks new ideas, more often it’s better to take a short break.
Thoughts: I feel like more things come to those who wait and take their time. It isn’t a good thing to force yourself through dry patches.
Q: Are you currently working on any new projects?
A: Haha. Always. Right now I have four going.
Thoughts: I can only focus on one thing at a time. I guess I am not a great multitasker. I think that is one of the best hidden talents someone could have.
Q: What is your favorite book of all time?
A: I’m going to say Chronicles of Narnia, Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe.
Thoughts: I have a confession…. I have never even seen those movies let alone read the books.

Q: Do you have any pets?
A: My cats Merlin and Rain!
Thoughts: Your cats are absolutely gorgeous! I have always wanted fluffy kitties! I think cats are the superior animal. I have two of them myself actually.
Q: Do you have another job other than being a mom and writing?
A: Sort of! I’ve been a birth doula (taking a break right now), and I run a community produce co-op. Plus I homeschool my kids. That’s totally a job in itself.
Q: What is your favorite part of living in Utah?
A: Seasons! I love having all four seasons. Also, mountains.
Thoughts: I can understand the different seasons for the most part. I hate the snow though! We really do have some gorgeous mountains and despite me hating the snow the mountains are really gorgeous with the snow glistening on them.
Q: Where do you dream of living one day?
A: I like it here, but in my wildest dreams I live in Ireland.
Thoughts: I have seriously dreamed of living in Ireland myself! I really love all the scenery and history that it offers.
Q: Did you always want to be an Author? What was your dream job as a child?
A: I wanted to be a veterinarian until 4th grade. Then it was an author! Living the dream!
Thoughts: I wanted to be a veterinarian when I was younger as well until I found out that I had to put them down or even just give them shots.
Q: Do you have any friends that are authors? If so, do you guys bounce ideas off each other?
A: There are four amazing writers in my writing group. We meet weekly online!
Q: How has your writing evolved since your first book?
A: I’ve gotten better in so many ways! I’m actually revising my first book right now and I’m surprised that it’s not as bad as I imagined.
Thoughts: I love that you are able to evolve your craft more over the years and then be able to look back at your previous work to see that progress.
Q: What advice would you give to your younger self now that you have written and published a book?
A: Don’t rush. It will happen!

Q: Which book do you wish would get more love?
A: Second Star! It’s just a novella, but it’s probably my favorite thing I’ve published so far. I’ll ship Peter Pan and Wendy forever.
This is on Kindle Unlimited for free, $13.08 on Audible or $10.65 for a paper back.
Conclusion
Bree Moore is a jack of all trades it seems. If you look her up on amazon you’ll see she has written many books, most are Urban Fantasy but she has also written books on birth. She has many passions and writing is only one of them. Her longest running series is the “Lost Souls” Series which is all about magical creatures being hunted by the government.
I think that it is so amazing that I got the chance to meet a local to Utah author who has an amazing repertoire. I am so excited to start reading her “Lost Souls” Series and soon giving away a signed copy of “Raven Born”.
I do hope you all enjoyed getting to know Bree just a little bit more and I hope you will also check out her books and website and give her a follow!
