My Top 5 Five Star Predictions

I have been in a pretty big social media slump. I have had little to no desire to post especially bookish content. I just really wanted to read for me and not for the likes. This is all in the hopes that I could pull myself out of not only a posting slump but what ended up being a huge reading slump!

My hopes is that if I start posting general bookish content other than just reviews that this will get me excited about reading again. My first go at this is a topic that I have been thinking about a lot lately. I still have not given a five star read out for 2024 and that surely is not helping my slump. So maybe if I pick things from this list I will have a better chance of getting that first five star!

Top 5 Five Star Predictions

For The Last Half Of 2024

“Funny Story”

By Emily Henry

This book has been high on my new and upcoming list. In fact I was 99% positive I preordered this. Jokes on me it never came on release day… Anyways, I will be getting my hand on this book soon!

Emily Henry has yet to do me wrong!

“Finlay Donovan Is Killing It”

By Elle Cosimano

This book has been highly recommended to me by my closet friend Syd! I have it just sitting on my shelf begging to be read! I am truly dying to read this one but I am scared all at the same time… I really don’t want this one to disappoint!

“Monstrilio”

By Gerardo Samano Cordova

This book instantly caught y eye as it was listed on so many peoples end of the year favorites list for 2023. I bought it then placed it by my bed where it has stayed for approximately two months… Look I promise I have plans to read it, okay, but this book intimidates me!

“Emily Wildes Map Of The Otherlands”

By Heather Fawcett

This is the second book in this series and I absolutely adored the first! For this one I am just scared it won’t live up to all my hype I have put around it base don the first. I just really don’t want to be let down so I have been putting this one off. However this is my most anticipated 2024 release so I need to get to it ASAP!

“Bookshops & Bonedust”

By Travis Baldree

This is also a second book in a series that I adored the first. So again I am just scared this won’t live up to the first book. This is also a prequel which I think this scares me the most. I really loved the dynamic we had in the first so I don’t know that I will love what is happening in this one. However, My boyfriend read this and did enjoy it and said I just need to dive in. So hopefully soon!

Making this list got me super excited to read them so I can make a new list and kinda just keep this rolling! I am also hoping that I can do some reading sprints and just knock these out. Here’s to hoping I can get out of this crazy slump!
